We respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we live, work and play is the traditional territory of many indigenous nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. Toronto is also home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people who continue to contribute to the vibrant fabric of our city.
We recognize that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with the multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. We are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on this land, and we recognize our responsibilities to the land, to each other, and to future generations.
