FAQs

Q Do you specialize in first-time homebuyers or can you help someone who has already bought and sold a few homes?

A Our team has plenty of success serving hundreds of clients from every walk of life. We give the first-timers all the guidance they need throughout the process, and we provide the seasoned real estate client with the level of expertise and customer service they demand as well.

Q  Why should we use a realtor?

As a buyer, using the services of a Realtor is the only efficient way to search for and find the ideal home, in the right area, and negotiate the right price, all at no cost to you whatsoever.

As a seller, there is no better way to streamline the selling process and ensure success, i.e. attracting the best offer within the shortest possible timeframe. In protecting the seller from selling too low, or carrying a mortgage on an unsold home, real estate services often pay for themselves.

Either way, when you choose to work with Michelle Walker and her team of professionals, you’re virtually guaranteeing the experience will be 100% positive, a compelling reason indeed.

Q We have some downpayment money set aside, but we want to save up for a few more years. Is this a good idea?

A. There is nothing wrong with saving your money, but here is something to keep in mind. When the market increases at (for example) 5% or more each year, the money you set aside for real estate can be swallowed up by rising prices. While you’re socking away an extra $10,000 for your down payment, the property could increase in value by twice that amount. The best time to get into the real estate market is the moment you’re ready. Waiting too long can be counterproductive.

Q I am single, making a good living, and ready to make a purchase, except where do I start with financing, land transfer taxes and all the hundreds of details?

A. First, start letting us worry about the details. When we say we have the home buying process down to an art, we mean it! Michelle and her team will help you every step of the way, including financing, tax and legal issues, and more.
