Buying a home can be filled with complexities that only an experienced Realtor can guide you through. Here is a quick list of home buying basics to keep in mind as you begin your search.
- Select a Realtor you can trust and with whom you feel comfortable working
- Discuss your requirements and your criteria with your representative
- Sign a Buyer Representation Agreement that details what your representative will provide and what you can expect
- Meet with a lender for mortgage pre-approval
- View homes that meet your selection criteria
- Have your Realtor prepare and present an offer
- Have your Realtor negotiate and accept the terms
- Remove conditions from the accepted offer
- Prepare for closing
- Take possession
